People land on veytrixai.com looking for Google Vertex AI, and occasionally the reverse. The names share a syllable and both have “AI” in them; that is the whole of the connection. They are different products, from different companies, solving different problems. This post exists so you can tell in thirty seconds which one you actually want.
The short version
- Google Vertex AI is Google Cloud's machine-learning platform. You use it to train, tune, host and call models — including Google's Gemini family — as infrastructure inside your own cloud project. It is a toolkit for engineering teams building AI systems.
- Veytrix AI is a finished product that makes phone calls. You write what the agent should say, upload a list, and it dials people and holds real conversations. No model training, no infrastructure, no cloud project.
One is raw material. The other is a machine built from raw material. We are a customer of that category, not a competitor to it.
How they relate in practice
Veytrix AI runs on Google's Gemini models for the reasoning inside a call. So there is a genuine connection — but it runs the way your bank's app relates to the electricity grid. We consume the models; we are not the platform that serves them.
Concretely, a Veytrix call assembles four services in real time: telephony through Plivo, speech-to-text through Cartesia or Sarvam, a language model (Gemini by default), and text-to-speech. Vertex AI is one possible supplier for one of those four layers. Everything else — the telephony, the turn-taking, the barge-in handling, the transcripts, the ratings, the billing — is ours.
Which one do you need?
Choose Vertex AI if you have engineers who want to fine-tune a model on your own data, deploy custom ML pipelines, or build a bespoke AI application from components. You are buying capability and you will build the product yourself.
Choose Veytrix AI if you have a list of people who need to be called and a conversation that needs to happen the same way every time. You are buying an outcome — screened candidates, qualified leads, confirmed appointments — and you want it working this week, not next quarter.
A useful test: if your question is “which model should we use?” you want Vertex AI. If your question is “how do we call 800 candidates by Friday?” you want us.
The naming, honestly
