What the per-minute rate actually covers
Most platforms quote a low headline rate and then bill telephony, transcription and model usage separately, so the real cost only appears at the end of the month. On Veytrix the per-minute rate is all-in. A single two-way minute pays for:
- Telephony — the actual outbound or inbound phone leg.
- Speech-to-text — live transcription of the person speaking, including Indian languages.
- The language model — the reasoning that decides what the agent says next.
- Text-to-speech — the natural voice the person actually hears.
- The post-call work — transcript, summary and an LLM rating scored against your own criteria.
How a call is measured
- Calls are billed in 30-second blocks, rounded up.
- A 24-second call bills as half a minute.
- A 40-second call bills as one minute.
- A 1 minute 30 second call bills as 1.5 minutes.
- Billing is per call, so short calls stay genuinely cheap instead of being rounded up to a full minute each time.
- Only connected time counts. Ringing, busy tones and unanswered calls are not billed for conversation minutes.
Two-way vs one-way calls
A two-way conversation call is a real dialogue — the person talks, the agent listens, understands and responds. That needs live transcription and a language model on every turn, which is why it costs more.
A one-way announcement call plays a message and ends — reminders, OTP-style notifications, event alerts, payment due dates. There is no live reasoning, so it is billed at ₹1.5 per call-minute (₹1.3 on Enterprise). If a large share of your volume is notifications rather than conversations, run those as announcements and keep the conversation budget for calls that need it.
Worked example
Say you screen 500 candidates a month and an average screening call runs about three minutes. That is roughly 1,500 conversation minutes. On the Growth plan at ₹4.5 per minute that is about ₹6,750 of call time — well inside the 4,444 minutes the plan includes — and every one of those calls comes back with a transcript, a summary and a rating you can sort a shortlist by.
Wallet, not surprise invoices
Veytrix runs on a prepaid wallet. You add funds, calls draw down against the balance, and you can see the ledger and per-agent usage at any time. Auto-recharge is optional. Because the balance is prepaid, you cannot accidentally run up an unbounded bill overnight — a runaway campaign stops when the wallet does.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a free trial?
Yes — you can create a workspace and start without a card. See
how the agents work first if you want the technical picture.
Do I pay per agent or per seat?
No. You pay for call-minutes. Create as many agents and invite as many teammates as your plan's limits allow without changing what a call costs.
What happens if I exceed the included minutes?
Extra minutes are billed at your plan's per-minute rate — ₹5 on Starter, ₹4.5 on Growth, ₹4 on Enterprise — drawn from your wallet balance.
Do failed or unanswered calls cost anything?
Unanswered, busy and failed calls do not consume conversation minutes. You are billed for connected talk time.
Can I get a custom rate for high volume?
Yes. If you are running well beyond the Enterprise allowance,
talk to us and we will quote for your volume.
