AI Lead Qualification Calls
Most inbound leads are lost to delay, not to competitors. An enquiry that gets a call back in two minutes converts far better than the same enquiry called the next afternoon — because by then the person has moved on or filled in three other forms. Veytrix AI calls every new lead immediately, qualifies them in a real conversation, and passes only the genuine ones to your sales team.
The speed problem
A sales team of six can meaningfully call perhaps a couple of hundred leads a day, and they do it in working hours in the order the list happens to be sorted. Leads that arrive at 9pm wait until morning. Leads at the bottom of the list get called last or not at all. The team is not lazy — there is simply more inbound than there are hours, and the cost of that gap is invisible because nobody logs the leads that went cold.
What qualification actually decides
A qualification call does not need to sell. It needs to answer four questions well enough for a human to decide whether to spend an hour on this person:
- Is the need real and current? Are they actively looking, or browsing?
- Is there a budget range? Even roughly — enough to know if you are in the same universe.
- Are they the decision maker? If not, who is, and can they introduce you?
- What is the timeline? This week, this quarter, or someday.
Those are factual questions with checkable answers — exactly the kind of thing an AI voice agent handles reliably, and exactly the part of the sales conversation your closers find least valuable.
How it runs
- A lead arrives — a form, a landing page, an ad, an uploaded list.
- The agent calls within minutes, while the person still remembers enquiring.
- It qualifies conversationally — asks the questions, follows up on vague answers, and answers the basic questions the lead asks back.
- It captures the details — confirming name and callback number, and reading the number back to check it.
- Sales gets a scored, summarised lead instead of a raw phone number.
Where this works best
Categories with high inbound volume and a wide quality spread benefit most — ed-tech course enquiries, real estate site-visit interest, insurance and lending applications, coaching and certification, and B2B demo requests. The common shape is: many enquiries, most unqualified, and a closer whose time is the scarce resource.
Handling the obvious objection
People do sometimes react badly to an automated sales call — usually when it is unsolicited, evasive about being an AI, or unwilling to let them go. The version that works is the opposite: call people who actually enquired, say plainly what it is when asked, keep it under two minutes, and if they say they are busy, offer to call back or send details instead of pushing. A qualification agent's job is to be quick and get out of the way.
Consent and compliance
In India, unsolicited commercial calling is regulated and DND registries apply. Qualification calling is on solid ground when you are calling people who submitted their own number asking to be contacted — which is what inbound leads are. Keep the record of that consent, respect calling windows, and stop when someone opts out. See the India compliance notes and our acceptable use terms.
What it costs
A two-to-three minute qualification conversation costs roughly ₹9–15 depending on plan. Set against a closer's hourly cost, the arithmetic is usually decided by how many unqualified calls they currently make. See pricing for exact rates, and how the agents work for the technical picture.
